A good installer should be happy to document the system design. Ask these questions before paying a booking amount or accepting a subsidy promise.
- Are you currently empanelled for the applicable rooftop subsidy program?
- Which specific panel and inverter models will you deliver?
- Will you provide a structural and shading assessment?
- Are meters, approvals and taxes part of the quoted price?
- Are DCR certificates required and included?
- What electrical protection and earthing are included?
- Who handles the official registration, inspection and claim paperwork?
- What warranties are issued and who services them locally?
- Which payment milestones follow work actually completed?
- What documentation will be delivered after commissioning?
A quote worth comparing
Compare the itemized bill of materials rather than only rupees per kilowatt. A quote excluding mounting, meter charges, long cable runs or structural modifications may not be the cheapest when the full project is installed.
